The Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta, GA., offers Science Night Out, Friday evening programs with hands-on science activities for kids, staffed by Fernbank Science Center scientists and volunteers. The 2010 Fermilab Family Open House, held on the site of the U.S. National Accelerator Laboratory, is intended to teach children about the world of physics. Essay Contest: R U Curious? Grades 1-12, Cambridge, Mass.


Students ages 5 to 18 are invited to take the Cambridge Science Festival’s Curiosity Challenge: Write an essay, draw or take a picture about your curiosity and tell us how it prompted you to explore your world.
