The 5th annual Future Focus EXPO, hosted by Region 2000 Technology Council, is a career exploration event for middle school and high school students. Career and educational opportunities will be offered from more than 50 area companies. Demonstrations and hands-on activities will also be on hand, and there are numerous give-aways and prizes.

The USA Science & Engineering Festival will be the United States’ first national science and engineering festival. The series of events will culminate in a two-day Expo on the National Mall that will give over 500 science & engineering organizations from all over the country the opportunity to present themselves with a hands-on, fun science activity to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

On October 20-22, Project Lead the Way hosts its first annual National Innovation Summit, which it hopes will engage, inspire, and re-energize STEM education. Assembling innovative thinkers inside and outside STEM education, the summit will explore topics such as technology tools and training, the importance of competitions, and nanomedicine. The Great Lakes Spaceport Education Foundation, Inc.’s Rockets for Schools program allows students to experience the excitement of building-high power rockets, coordinating a rocket launch and working hands-on with industry professionals. This program is open to students of varied socio-economic backgrounds in grades 6-12 from a five state area in the Midwest. Rockets for Schools 2010 is scheduled for Friday, May 7th and Saturday, May 8th in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
