Are you the next Jane Foster? Marvel Comics has launched a contest to inspire more girls to pursue science, technology, engineering, and math like the fearless physician in the new Thor movie – and winners get to attend the Hollywood premiere.

Shell Eco-marathon is a global challenge that motivates students to drive farther than their peers on one gallon of fuel. Student teams participate in one or both of the Prototype and UrbanConcept classes. The Prototype class invites student teams to enter futuristic streamlined vehicles focused on maximizing fuel efficiency through innovative design elements, such as drag reduction.

Engineering Contests, a new aggregator of engineering competitions and scholarships for K-12 and college students, offers a one-stop shop that’s updated monthly.
NASA is hosting an essay contest for students in grades 5 to 12 to help choose whether the next big mission to the outer solar system should go to Saturn’s moon, Titan, or to Jupiter’s moon, Europa. The deadline for submissions is February 28.
