National Engineers Week kicks off on Feb. 18 2018 and this year’s theme – Engineers: Inspiring Wonder – offers an opportunity to learn about how engineers make a difference in our world. National Engineers Week kicks off Feb. 19 – 25, 2017 and this year’s theme – Dream Big – takes its title from a spectacular IMAX movie about engineering that premieres at big-screen theaters around the country. How will you celebrate?
Think engineering is about as exciting as watching paint dry? DREAM BIG: Engineering Our World, a new giant-screen movie, promises to challenge those perceptions … big time.
Nominate a great middle or high school STEM teacher for a $2,000 award, introduce a girl to engineering, or coach a Future City team. National Engineers Week is Feb. 22 – 28, 2015 and there are plenty of local events and hands-on activities to raise awareness of what engineers do and how their work makes the world a healthier, safer place.
