Introduce a girl to engineering. Make slime and other cool stuff. National Engineers Week takes place Feb. 16 to 22 and this year’s theme – Pioneers of Progress – marks 30 years of celebrating the diversity of engineers and their work on the frontiers of discovery. Check out local events, downloadable activities, and other ideas for bringing EWeek 2020 to your classroom.

Nominate a great middle or high school STEM teacher for a $2,000 award, introduce a girl to engineering, or coach a Future City team. National Engineers Week is Feb. 22 – 28, 2015 and there are plenty of local events and hands-on activities to raise awareness of what engineers do and how their work makes the world a healthier, safer place.
Celebrate National Engineers Week 2014 by hosting or attending an event, introducing a girl to engineering, or nominating a STEM teacher for an award. DiscoverE also includes an online library of videos and hands-on activities to help raise awareness of how engineers make the world a healthier, safer place.
Mark National Engineers Week by participating in a local event or doing a fun engineering activity with your students. This year’s theme – Celebrate Awesome – the amazing things engineers, engineering students, and technicians do everyday to make the world a better place.
The DiscoverE Educator Awards from the National Engineers Week Foundation shine a spotlight on the educators who are inspiring tomorrow’s innovation generation. Unique to this program, engineers and engineering students are part of the nomination process. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 1, 2011.
