The Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. seeks to inspire learning and curiosity by connecting science and technology with everyday life. The Challenger Center for Space Science Education operates 45 Learning Centers across the United States, using space-mission simulators and interactive exhibitions to make STEM subjects fun for students in grades 5 through 8. Now, a new center will open next spring in West Virginia targeting K-2 students.

The exhibit hall of Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta, GA, spans some 9000 square feet, circling a planetarium theater, and split over two levels. Within these areas are numerous displays which deal with a whole array of scientific concepts. The theme for the entire exhibit area reflects the slogan of the Science Center: “Where Science Becomes an Adventure.”
