Resource: Engineering & Science Festival Materials for Teachers
Teachers planning to or interested in bringing a group of students to the USA Science & Engineering Festival may be wondering how to get the most out of it academically. This Festival webpage provides some helpful tips on how to optimize the visit.
One idea: Offer extra credit to students who attend. The Expo map will have an area to collect stamps for completed exhibit activities. Choose one of the subject tracks (or make one up), and the students can complete at least 10 exhibits from that track to collect 10 stamps in order to receive the credit.
Another good idea is to have a Festival representative come to a PTA or faculty meeting to give a talk about the Festival. To arrange for a representative to visit or to suggest more educational uses for the Festival, email Larry Bock at biobock@mac.com.
