STEAM Into Earth Day!
Plant a tree. Calculate your carbon footprint. Organize a community cleanup. There are countless ways that individuals — including students and teachers — can have a positive impact on the planet.
The theme of Earth Day 2022 is “Invest In Our Planet” and the website highlights 52 actions and tips for making a difference year ’round, from measuring your “foodprint” and composting to taking pictures of polinators and turning off the lights. Teachers can join the push for environmental literacy or download free toolkits on sustainable clothes shopping, climate and civics lessons, and more.
Don’t forget to check out eGFI’s list of sustainability sites and activities for incorporating sustainability into your classroom.
