Website: Physics Charts, Nuclear Science
The Contemporary Physics Education Project (CPEP) has created four complex charts that illustrate current understanding of the fundamental nature of matter and energy, highlighting major research findings of recent years: fundamental particles and interactions; plasma physics and fusion; nuclear science; and the history and fate of the universe. The charts can be ordered on the site, and detailed online versions can also be viewed, with additional information, links, and materials, such as “The ABCs of Nuclear Science,” a worksheet for constructing a marshmallow nuclei model, and other supplementary activities and quizzes.
