Getting It Right
in an Imperfect World
2010 Annual African-American History Program Lecture
Dr. Wanda Austin, president and chief executive officer of The Aerospace Corporation, and a leading architect for the nation’s national security space programs, is internationally recognized for her work in satellite and payload system acquisition, systems engineering, and system simulation. Austin will address how by living by your values and working for an employer with values you admire, you can achieve desired results that make a huge difference for communities, companies, and citizens. She will speak to specific examples, including how values play a key role in the successful development and operation of complex space systems and the monitoring of ever-burgeoning space debris orbiting earth.
Co-sponsored by the The National Academies’ African American History Program Committee, the Koshland Science Museum, and CPNAS. Click here for other AAHP events.
