The cable industry has proposed a two-year project to bring discounted broadband service to middle school students who don’t get broadband today, according to Post Tech, a blog published by the Washington Post. The plan would target 3.5 million middle school children from low-income families.

A number of Minnesota schools are embracing yoga as word spreads about its benefits for students, and at least one Minneapolis elementary school engages the whole student body in deep breathing exercises each morning. Statewide, more than 100 schools have staff members trained to teach yoga to kids of all ages.
