Bechtel Fellows Program

The Bechtel Fellows Program, part of Purdue University’s Institute for P-12 Engineering Research and Learning, is a year long program for a select number of exceptional and experienced P-6th grade educators who are interested in participating in a rigorous program to develop and share P-6th grade engineering curricula.

Participants in the Bechtel Fellows Program:

* Gain in-depth understanding of engineering practice and engineering education pedagogies.
* Work in teams with engineering education researchers to develop engineering curricula.
* Develop a plan to implement engineering curricula in their classrooms and contribute to INSPIRE research for one year.
* Participate in the INSPIRE 2 Summer Academy, providing instructional and assessment for student participants.
