Website: Think Green Recycling
An outreach project of the Waste Management company developed in conjunction with Discovery Education, the Think Green website seeks to engage students in learning about the environment. Materials include separate teacher and student pages, with standards-based lesson plans, hands-on classroom activities, and at-home extensions, as well as video clips, and printable posters.
What happens to the waste we all produce? When does it make sense to recycle? Can trash become energy? These are just a few of the topics Think Green explores.
Based in Houston, Texas, Waste Management provides comprehensive waste management services, including collection, transfer, recycling and resource recovery, and disposal services. They are a U.S. leading developer, operator and owner of waste-to-energy and landfill gas-to-energy facilities.
