How to Visit Mars without Leaving Earth
Science Writer Mary Roach speaks at an evening lecture to discuss her new book Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void. She describes how astronauts prepare for and endure their trips to space, what happens when you don’t walk on the ground for a year, and the overall experience of space simulations.
In an interview with Bill Thompson, host of the Eye on Books Web site, Roach takes you on a trip into the science of life in space and space on Earth.
