Scarcity of water and inequities in access, use, and decision-making about water can threaten populations and also contribute to violent conflict, according to this report by Catholic Relief Services. Teachers  who use the irrigation lesson plan “Way to Flow” may wish to consult this report in explaining to their students why water is such an important issue in much of the world.
