Philadelphia’s Franklin Institute is a science museum “in the spirit of inquiry and discovery embodied by Benjamin Franklin,” that aims to inspire an understanding of and passion for science and technology learning.
It offers visiting shows and permanent exhibitions, such as The Giant Heart, Space Command, The Franklin Airshow, The Train Factory, Sir Isaac’s Loft, and Electricity; an IMAX theatre and planetarium; and school programs and summer camps.
The Institute’s Resources for Science Learning, and Center for Innovation in Science Learning (CISL) offer activities and ideas for inspiring scientific curiosity at home and in school, with resources, links, and news stories and headlines.
