2013 ExxonMobil Math & Science Scholarships
Who: African American and Hispanic graduating high school seniors from urban districts

Named for the first African American to walk in space, the 2013 ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors in 65 urban school districts represented by the Council of the Great City Schools. Four scholarships for two males and two females — $5,000 each — will be awarded to two African American and two Hispanic students on behalf of the former NASA astronaut, physician and businessman, Dr. Bernard Harris.

Scholarship applicants should:
- Identify as African-American or Hispanic
- Attend a school in a Council of Great City Schools district
- Be completing their senior year of high school in 2013
- Have been accepted to a four year university for full-time enrollment
- Intend to pursue a science, technology, engineering or mathematics degree
- Demonstrate academic achievement in high school, leadership skills and/or community service in the area of science, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Have an unweighted GPA of at least 3.0
