Cool School Challenge, Teacher Workshops
The Cool School Challenge is a free program that motivates students, teachers, and school districts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. By conduction audits of classroom energy, solid waste, and transportation behaviors, students identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and shrinking their carbon impact. To date, participating schools have reduced their potential CO2 emissions by 925,597 lbs. See the Cool School Website for activities and resources.
Upcoming Teacher Workshops
We are pleased to offer a series of free teacher training workshops to introduce teachers to the Cool School Challenge and how it can be used to engage students in effective strategies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions at your school. For many workshops, continuing education units (CEUs) will be provided.
