Through fun camps, money for college, and leadership training, the Materials Information Society (ASM) supports students pursuing a career in materials, science and engineering.

National Merit Scholarships
The ASM Materials Education Foundation currently sponsors $1,000 scholarships for students who had indicated an interest in materials science and engineering as National Merit Semi-Finalists in high school. One new student is sponsored each year.

Undergraduate Scholarship Program
Since 1953, the ASM Materials Education Foundation and leading ASM Chapters nationwide have awarded scholarships totaling over $1 million. Fifteen scholarships are awarded annually through the ASM Materials Education Foundation, which is supported by member contributions and other gifts.
