Put the E in STEM at ASEE’s K-12 Workshop

B&Y Lapel PinLearn how to incorporate engineering into classroom lessons as well as at home in a day-long workshop hosted by the American Society for Engineering Education for teachers, administrators, guidance counselors, and parents.

Date: Saturday, April 26, 2014
Time: 8:00 registration opens; Workshops run 8:30-3:15 with a break for lunch

This daylong program for teachers, counselors, parents, and administrators from the Washington, D.C., metro area will provide an energizing, interactive overview of successful engineering education instruction for the K-12 classroom. Attendees will learn engaging, hands-on lessons and interactive activities to share with students, receive takeaway materials ready for use in the classroom, and have opportunities to network with other engineering educators.

Upon registration, attendees will choose from one of four tracks during the day: elementary teachers, middle school teachers, high school teachers, and counselors/parents/administrators.  Each track will contain three 1.5 hour workshops and a 45 minute break for lunch.
