EXCITE! – EXploring sCIence, Technology and Engineering! at Kansas State University

EXCEXCITE! is designed to introduce high school women to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. EXCITE! is a year round program that offers girls in the 9th – 12th grades opportunities on and off campus.

Girls entering 9th and 10th grades in the fall have the chance to participate in a four-day hands-on residential science and engineering camp held on the K-State campus in Manhattan, KS. The EXCITE! workshop allows students to work closely with K-State faculty and undergraduate students. Participants also tour companies that employ scientists and engineers and have the opportunity to see a “typical” day.

During the school year girls in grades 9-12 are invited to one day campus events. These events focus on preparing for college as a STEM student and are led by K-State students.
