Event: Girls Meet STEM professionals. Johns Hopkins U., Laurel, MD. March 14, 2010

outreachGirl Power. Reach for the Sky: Career Opportunities for the Women of Tomorrow

Sun., March 14, 2010, 3 – 5 pm.
Kosiakoff Center,  Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, 11100 Johns Hopkins Road, Laurel, MD

Supported by the Maryland Women’s Heritage Center, this conference will encourage and promote career opportunities for young women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Last year, the event featured hands-on activities, cool demonstrations, and take-home material for middle school and high school girls. Attendees will be given the opportunity to talk with professional women with STEM careers. Parents are invited to accompany daughters.
