Event: Engineering at U. Washington, April 23 and 24

Engineering Discovery Days: April 23 & 24, 2010

Formerly known as “Open House,” Engineering Discovery Days continues the tradition of sharing the work of the College of Engineering, U. Washington,  with students, teachers and families. While both days are open to all, each day has a primary focus.

Fri, April 23: Grades 4 through 8

Students and teachers participate in hands-on activities that demonstrate what engineers do and how they work.

Sat, April 24: High Schoolers, Community College Students, and Pre-Majors

In addition to the exhibits and activities, students and their families learn about college admissions and university life. Presenters include UW Admissions, Scholarships and Financial Aid, Housing & Food services, and the Honors program.

Registration

Registration is now open. Everyone attending Engineering Discovery Days is encouraged to register, which allows the College of Engineering to have an accurate count of the number of individuals who attended the event.

Registration is required for groups of 10 or more and for groups arriving in buses. School groups are required to register, to help plan for arrivals, bus parking, departures, etc. Please also note that if you are attending by school bus, you must register by April 2, 2010. Otherwise, you will behave to travel via METRO or Carpool. Register now!

Engineering Discovery Days exhibits are located on the University of Washington campus, near the Husky Union Building (“the HUB”). To help you find your way download a printable campus map.
