How do STEM teachers spend a summer Saturday? Those who attended ASEE’s eighth annual Workshop on K-12 Engineering Education on June 25 had fun building guitars, mixing concrete, and studying the sprawling green roof atop the Vancouver Convention Centre – where they sampled honey made by the bees that live there. Thank you for joining us in Louisville for the seventh annual ASEE Workshop on K-12 Engineering Education. “Discovering Engineering in the Classroom” presented by Dassault Systèmes was a huge success, drawing 300+ attendees — the largest turnout ever. A new format including an impressive panel of K-12 leaders, focus groups and follow-up reports enabled teachers to interact over key issues. A presentation about how teachers can use the eGFI website was also a big hit. Find here a slide show of memorable moments, as well as PowerPoint pdfs of session presentations.
